Newmarket had Llittleport on the back foot from the start and 2 minutes in Mat Allen slotted home. With the pressure still on, Lachie Allan made it 2 and this was shortly followed by one from man of the match Jordan Sharpe. Littleport fought back and on 21 minutes got their first but Newmarket soon hit back and J Sharpe got his second to make it 4. With only 5 minutes left of the first half Newmarket went to sleep and Littleport fired home 2 quick goals to make it 4 - 3. Second half Littleport came out strong and 2 minutes in had their equilizer, both teams had good chances and some good keeping was the only thing that kept the scores even.
